October is the month of breast cancer prevention, also known as ‘Pink October’.
The truth that is there is no magic formula to prevent it because even the healthiest person on the planet can fall victim of it as this disease does not look the age or the social class. However, it an evil that attacks the women in their 40s and 50s while men can also suffer from this disease, but it is rare.
We do not know what to do to avoid it completely, but what we can do is lend a helping hand to our body because the healthier we are, the more will the distance be not only in cancer, but many other conditions as well.
According to cancer.org, there are things we can do to reduce the risk of cancer and these are so basic and good that will help us maintaining a healthy life and the risks of breast cancer.
1) Maintaining Proper Body Weight
This is to be in your weight, not your mental weight or your ideal weight. Apply either up or down. While you may be happy with your 10 kilos overweight, but it maybe not the best for your health nor is it to have lesser weight and this can be managed by eating the right way, that is, natural carbohydrates and grains, lean proteins and healthy fats.
2) Keep Alcohol at Bay
Alcohol is an unsafe liquid for the body and the high intake of it is extremely perilous while it is also hindering factor in weight loss process.
3) No Smoking
Like alcohol, smoking is also bad and there is not much to say about its harmful effects, and not just for the breast cancer, but or all types of cancers and a myriad of diseases. It is a personal decision and you can avoid it with strong will.
4) Physical Activity
Physical activity does not mean that you have to be a master of cross-fit, there are many ways to perform the physical activities and it helps you maintain your proper weight and keep your cardiovascular system and skeletal muscles toned. The simple rule is more health, better weight and more happiness.
